EUROPE TRAIN TOUR PRICE AND CONDITIONS

The price of the 2011 tour is R22 980

Please note: This price is quoted at the April 2009 exchange rate of 1 Euro = R11.90 (buying price). The final price will be adjusted to the actual exchange rate on the day of payment. This price includes the tour only and there are substantial extras.

Formula for calculating the final cost is as follows:

R22980 minus airfare and local cost = R16000

R16000 divided by 11.9 multiplied by exchange rate of the day plus R6980 (local cost and airfare)

INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE

  • Economic class return airfare from Cape Town or Johannesburg and rail transport in Europe
  • All attractions, city tours and boat trips as indicated on the programme as being included
  • Accommodation in a hostel in London, and chalets and youth hostels on the European continent. (Note: Frequently four to six persons will share a dormitory.)
  • Breakfast and dinner throughout the tour. (Dinner is included on the first day in London and only breakfast on the last day in Rome, but meals are provided on the aircraft.)
  • Vaporetta in Venice
  • 3 Day Underground pass in London
  • City bus tour of London
  • All train trips between cities
    EXCLUDED FROM THE PRICE OF THE TOUR:
  • Visas and passports - we will assist you in obtaining visas which should cost about R2000
  • Lunch - bargain on about R60 a day
  • Tours not included in the programme, museum entrance fees and other entrance fees
  • Pocket money - Euro 500 should be enough
  • Insurance
  • Airport taxes and surcharges
  • Travel bags

CHARACTER OF THE TOUR:

  • There is lots of free time.
  • Accommodation is certainly not luxurious. From time to time up to 6 persons will share a dormitory. Bathrooms will be shared.
  • You will be treated as a young adult, but some rules are applied strictly. If you have no intention of obeying the rules as contained in the agreement, please do not bother to enter for the tour.
  • This is definitely not a tour for drinkers and Christian norms are applied throughout.
  • There are obligatory excursions.
